Third From Left: SERAFINA (SERAFINE) IDA CRAWLEY and JOHN KIRKUP -  Christmas  1980 at my West 26th home in Vancouver...We would shortly start our sometimes very torrid love-affair and it  would last off and on until 1986 ! Ah, the wonderful times we had !!!

But, unknown to me, she was still married but separated from her husband who lived on Vancouver Island...She was born in Austria in 1944 and, like most beautiful women, and unknown to me at the time, very deceptive and certainly not to be trusted !!!

AND WE WORKED TOGETHER FOR MANY YEARS IN THE SAME OFFICE AT THE CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION IN VANCOUVER...

That certainly led to some very interesting moments - especially the mornings after !!!

This pic was taken on December 5 2011 at the CBC Christmas Party at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club...She is almost 68 and still looking terrific...I hope the wonderful goodies she had (or, hopefully, still has) lurking below the surface have kept their good looks and are getting the proper exercise they richly deserve !!! If they are not I would gladly fly 3000 miles to offer my services to help get them back into shape !!! 

I made this suggestion to her recently via email and since I have not heard from her I suspect she is thoroughly pissed-off with me !!! I certainly hope she has not given up on sex, either self-administered or a joint effort - male or female !!! 

Believe me, she is (or was) really talented and it would be such a waste !!!

This picture was taken at Bellingham, Washington at Christmas in 1972 at my good friends the Mathers...I was 36 and she was 22 and an absolute charmer (in English or French !)...She was from Montreal but had moved to Los Angeles with her

family and then she moved to Vancouver where she got a job in the Pharmacy at the Vancouver General Hospital where I met her at a party ! An uninhibited beauty and a charmer and a sex-loving real red-head as a bonus !!!

Second from Left: FRANCE BEAUREGARD, ME and SHARON FRANZIUS...This picture was taken in Central Park in New York City in August 1981...I was visiting friends and they were visiting relatives of Frances in Quebec...Since neither of them had ever been to NYC I invited them to come down and spend 5 days with me and I would show them around ! 

They took me up on my offer and we spent 5 wonderful days together...It turned out

to be a very cozy and unexpected arrangement ! Ah, aren't women wonderful !!!

JOHN KIRKUP - the MOUNTAIN SHERIFF - From CANADA WEST MAGAZINE but originally published in HARPERS MAGAZINE in 1891...

I had the actual leather bound Harpers Magazine but lent it to Bill so he could use the pic of my grandfather for his magazine but I never got it back ! 

If the original Water-Colour Wash by Frederic Remington still existed it would be worth a LOT of money, but it is believed that it was lost in a fire sometime in the 1920s in New York State !!!

MOUNT KIRKUP - Near REVELSTOKE ,  B.C.                              

Apparently it was discovered in 1936 that there were two mountains with the same name, so the B.C. Government  chose to rename one of them MOUNT KIRKUP...

Pretty neat, eh ? But I don't think my father, who died in 1971, ever knew about the mountain being named after his father ! At least, it was never mentioned to me ! Communication wasn't exactly like it is today !        

The Kirkups out for a Sunday drive around 1908...Some of the other people in the automobile I believe are part of the Clothier family also from Rossland...

Thanks to a font-of-all-knowledge friend in Maple Ridge, B.C. the vehicle has been

identified as a 1907 Gladiator Touring Car !!!

An interesting fact is that a descendant of the Rossland Clothier family became a famous actor - he was Robert Clothier and he portrayed 'RELIC' on the long-running CBC Television  Series "BEACHCOMBERS"...

Apparently I am his second cousin !!!

Right: 'BIG' JOHN KIRKUP - Six Foot Three and rumoured to have weighed about 300 pounds ! But, I doubt he ever weighed that much!

However, I can understand why nobody wanted to mess with this guy when he was Sheriff !!!

Far Left: SHARON FRANZIUS and FRANCE BEAUREGARD...This pic was taken in 1981 while they were living with me for a short time at my home on West 26th in Dunbar...

They were moving into a home they had bought and were waiting for it to be available.

We had some really great times for a couple of months and, believe me, to start your working mornings off with two lovely nude women, besides being nude yourself, taking turns showering together, and other things, is the stuff that dreams are made of...

And they were not dreams, they were real events!!! 

Eventually France went on to become a Managing Director at Telus but I have not heard from either one of them in years...But I certainly have my memories !!!
